What's red, gives life and looks ravishingly grand? Why, the all new special edition iPhone 7 RED, of course!
Yes, there's an all new iPhone in the market and it's as striking as a pink suit in a corporate street. While this may not be the first time you've seen an iPhone dressed in red, this is the first time it actually has a red aluminum finish for its physical skin.
Before this gorgeous new red color option, iPhone 7's glossy jet black was the talk of the town, and for good reason. It's dark, sleek and beautifully distinct. Apple's decision to stray away the usual space grey was a hit. Backtracking even further, we have iPhone 6S' delicate rose gold. This was an instant ladies' magnet. We were all drawn to its elegant feminine appeal and is a no-brainer choice for women around the world. But of all the color options Apple has released, the iPhone RED has got to be the most striking of all—plus it's the only color that promotes a cause!
"The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest RED (the product) offering to date in celebration of our partnership with RED (the brand), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands," says Apple CEO, Tim Cook.
While the special edition iPhone 7 RED is selling like hotcakes primarily because of its stunning red shell, its true purpose remains to be bigger than its beauty.
As part of Apple's continued partnership with the brand RED, Apple has launched a RED line, which highlights red-themed products and apps to help raise funds and support HIV/AIDS programs. In relation to this, the special edition iPhone 7 RED was launched last March to strengthen the success of the campaign.
For every special edition iPhone 7 RED purchase, a portion of the proceeds go to the Global Fund. This international financing organization aims to prevent and treat HIV and AIDS around the world and Apple has already raised over $130 million to date and continues to be a committed and significant partner of the charity.
Apple's 10-year partnership with RED has helped people from across the globe, namely, those affected in Ghana, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Kenya, and Zambia. The movement conducts testing, counseling and provides medicine to affected mothers to prevent transmission to her unborn baby.
"Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products," says Apple's CEO, Tim Cook.
And though the special edition iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may not be red on the inside, and by that I mean they don't come with any special edition wallpapers like it did with the special edition Apple Watch, we're far from unhappy. How could you be when you've got the same powerful insides as that of its grey counterparts? Top it off with that gorgeous red anodized shell and all is well with the world again!
As of now, we have no word on how long the special edition iPhone 7 RED and iPhone 7 Plus RED will be in town, so don’t hold back! Get one today.
